Candeleros is celebrating its 14th year in the heart of Manchester, Vermont. Nestled in the beautiful green mountains, Candeleros was built in the early 1800s as a train stop. Through the years, it has housed some of Vermont's oldest families and then remained empty until Jack Gilbert, a local artist living in New York City moved back to Manchester and decided this lovely old building would make a wonderful restaurant.
The challenge was to make Candeleros as beautiful as the building itself. Jack felt he had to remain true to history and therefore spent time both in Mexico and working in one of the finest Mexican restaurants in New York City.
Over the years, Candeleros has become one of the top restaurants in the area and a 'must stop' for many travelling through.
Our patrons had been asking us to bottle our sauces and salsa for several years, so about 6 years ago, we gave in and have been bottling like crazy ever since! Our gourmet line of sauces and salsas are selling in some of the finest stores on the east coast including Whole Foods chain market. We began exporting to Canada over a year ago and getting ready to increase our exports.
Gringo Jack's is our newest line of products which includes all natural and fun BBQ sauces, salsas and our fabulous chips.
